Babyliss MT996E | My Short Review
The Babyliss MT996E multigroomer lets you trim, shape and shave your beard, cut your hair, remove hairs from nose and ears and shave your body.

Below I give my honest review of the Babyliss MT996E multigroomer. I say only my own opinions, my review is not sponsored (I have bought the trimmer for my own money).
I hope the information below will help you decide if this trimmer is a good option for you or not.
Babyliss MT996E | Ergonomy

The handle of the Babyliss MT996E is not ergonomically curved like many other trimmers.
Nevertheless in my opinion it fits in the hand nicely, I liked working with it.
The trimmer is 100% waterproof, which helps you keep it clean.
Furthermore you can use it in the shower.
Vibration levels are ok for me, the noise level depends on which head you put on the trimmer.
The most noisy is the ear and nose trimmer, I mean it is REALLY loud!
The Heads

There are 4 interchangeable heads in this kit.
Two of them are blades.
The main blade is narrower and is meant for beard styling and trimming.

The main blade (as well as wider T-blade) are made of japanese steel. This blade works with 7 comb guards.
The wider T-blade is meant for shaping beard details and with one of the 3 guards you can snap on the blades you’ll be able to cut your hair or trim beard (9, 12 and 16 mm).

The width of the T-blade is 40 mm
Then we have the foil shaver attachment.

I really love this one.
It is much wider than the foil shaver in Philips Multigroomers.

With foil attachment in Babyliss MT996E I was able to quite effectively shave my neck.

Of course all foil shaver heads found in multigroomer are no match for full size electric shavers, like for example Braun Series 7 Shaver or Philips Norelco Shaver 7200.
Nose and ears trimmer as I have said earlier, is really noisy!

You’ll experience it especially when trimming hairs in your ears 🙂

The last thing I would comment on for heads is the magnetic mounting system.
Each head has a metal ring inside and the trimmer has a magnet in the upper part (where you mount the head on).
This way you only pull off the attachment from the trimmer and snap on the other one.
Fast and super easy, no cumbersome twisting or complicated attaching.
The heads hold nicely tight on the trimmer, I had no issues with this system at all.
Babyliss MT996E | Length Settings

Almost all comb guards are fixed, meaning without the sliders or dials.
The exceptions are the stubble guard and the eyebrow guard with really simple little slider dials.

Stubble guard with lengths ranging from 1 mm to 3,5 mm.
The slider is really small, so to be able to change the length you have to use your nail.

When you manage to set your desired setting, the guard works pretty well, no critical issues here.

The eyebrow guard lets you set only two lengths - 3 mm and 5 mm.
Again, super simple slider operated by nail 🙂

The Babyliss MT996E also comes with 4 fixed guards for beard - lengths 5, 6, 7 and 8 mm.

The combs sit quite tight on the blade, so no problem for me.

Same for three grey comb attachments for hair - 9, 12, 16mm.
Finally there are two combs for shaving body hair - lengths 3 mm and 4 mm.

I found these two sitting a bit loose on the blade.
