Below I give my honest review of the Philips BT5502/15 beard trimmer. I say only my own opinions, my review is not sponsored (I have bought the trimmer for my own money).

I hope the information below will help you decide if this trimmer is a good option for you or not.
The Philips BT5502/15 is in my opinion one of these “standard beard trimmers” for beards of any length.

True, it is a bit bigger than many beard trimmers out there, but not a problem for me.

Philips BT5502/15 | The Ergonomics

As I have said above, the Philips BT5502/15 is a bit bigger than most of the beard trimmers on the market.
I didn't find it a drawback, working with the trimmer was easy.

Also noise and vibrations levels are fine.
The handle is made of plastic, but the grip is ok thanks to the matt finish of the plastic.
As for waterproof levels you can rinse under the tap the whole unit.
Length Settings

I love all kinds of dials in the form of those length setting “wheels”.
Here we have a similar dial covered with rubber. This makes choosing your preferred setting fast, precise and easy in general.

There are 2 adjustable guards.

The first one is for a stubble and short beard up to 10 mm.

The second one has a maximal length set to 20 mm.

Both work great for me and I have no problems trimming my medium thick beard with these guards at all.
Philips BT5502/15 | The Blade

This trimmer is equipped with a stainless steel blade.
It is self-sharpening.

The manufacturer claims there’s no need for oiling the blades.
In my opinion it could be true in the first stage of using the trimmer.

After several weeks I would definitely oil the blades.
Here you can read my view on oiling the blades of Philips trimmers and clippers.
