Remington MB4050 | My Review
Remington MB4050 comes with a wide variety of beard styling accessories. Read my full review here.

Below I give my honest review of the Remington MB4050 beard trimmer. I say only my own opinions, my review is not sponsored (I have bought the trimmer for my own money).
I hope the information below will help you decide if this trimmer is a good option for you or not.
The Remington MB4050 beard trimmer set is packed with all kinds of accessories that could be needed for a full beard trim at home.
I admit right away I did not use most of them, I have focused on the trimmer and the guards.
Yes, I have tested the beard brush, but I did not touch the barber cape, towel, scissors (which looks and feel quite good) or the comb.
Remington MB4050 | The Ergonomics

What I definitely like about the Remington MB4050 beard trimmer is its shape.
Quite significantly curved compared to many popular beard trimmers on the market.

I find working with the trimmer quite comfortable.
I definitely like the fact that the cutting edge of the blade is well exposed and accessible from many angles.

The noise and vibration levels are not good, but you’ll find plenty of beard trimmers on the market that work more quietly and with less shake.

If you’re looking for a fully waterproof unit, unfortunately the unit itself in Remington MB4050 should not be immersed in the water, but all guards and the detachable blades can be rinsed under the tap.
The Blades

Simple ones.
Stainless steel.
Self-sharpening.

Two polished and moulded pieces of metal mounted in a plastic base/head.
I definitely like the fact that the cutting edge of the blade is well exposed and accessible from many angles.

Yes, and you need to remember to oil the blades on a regular basis.
Remington MB4050 is equipped also with a simple narrow pop-up trimmer.

It is meant to help with styling details.
Please be careful though!

When you pop this trimmer out - both blades are moving! Meaning the small trimmer but also the main blade!

Remington MB4050 | The Length Settings

The Remington MB4050 is one of few models on the market that is equipped with an adjusting guard that allows you to trim even longer beard.

One of the combs allows you to set the cutting length up to 35 mm.
Honestly trimming with a guard a beard that is longer than 20 mm is getting tricky.

Hears in a longer beard tend to get curly and a bit tangled.
As a result not all hairs get in the comb and you need to do more passes in order to get an even cut.
The 1,5 - 18 mm guard is working fine.
The stubble guard (1-5 mm) - you have to get used to the simple plastic dial wheel.
It works but you have the feeling you are not 100% sure exactly what length you have set.
