Remington MB4200 | My Honest Review
Remington MB4200 is a unique trimmer for stubble and short beard (up to 15 mm)

Below I give my honest review of the Remington MB4200 beard trimmer. I say only my own opinions, my review is not sponsored (I have bought the trimmer for my own money).

I hope the information below will help you decide if this trimmer is a good option for you or not.

The Remington MB4200 set is very simple, no unnecessary bells and whistles

Remington MB4200 | Double Sided Blade

The blade with the finer teeth is great for shaving. On my medium coarse beard I get really good results!

The Remington MB4200 is equipped with a unique double sided blade.

One side has wider teeth and can be compared to the blades of most traditional beard trimmers.

The blade with wider (and fewer) teeth is better exposed. It can be used to define the lines and trim the beard with the adjustable guard

Shaving with the other side of the blade gives you a much better shave, compared to what you get with Philips OneBlades.

Ergonomy

The black surface of the handle is made of some sort of rubber. The grip is firm and I liked working with this trimmer.

You have to be aware of the compact size of this model.

It is noticeably smaller compared to most of “standard” beard trimmers on the market.

I’m not saying it is a bad thing.

Working with Remington MB4200 was ok for me, no problems.

Remington MB4200 | Length settings

The sliding adjustable guard is not as convenient as all dials in a form of a wheel

As for setting your preferred length, I found the adjustable guard a bit awkward.

To change the settings you have to press the button first and this way release the lock.

After releasing the button the length lock is activated

The thing is that when you press the button it is quite tricky to set precisely the length of your choice.

The highest length setting is 15 mm

Often instead of moving the guard by 1 mm, I have changed the length by2 or even 3 mm.

This type of guard is best for stubble and short beard

After time you’ll probably get used to it, but it can be a bit annoying at first.

Blade Heating

The blade in this Remington MB4200 heats up a bit more compared to the most of the beard trimmers on the market

Another thing you should know about Remington MB4200 is the fact that the blade is getting hot after running a minute or two.

No big deal for me, but maybe you will find it a downside.

Surely the heating will be less if you remember to oil the blades regularly.
